Two updates in two days!
Didn’t think I would have time today but I’ve done another few additional tweaks which you will hopefully find useful. I won’t go into too much in this post but I will just highlight the changes so you can look out for them.
1. Ability to order class assignments. You can now drag and drop assignments for a class into the order you want students to see them. Just drag and drop the assignments into the order you want the students to view them. Easily place the most important or current assignment at the top of the students list. Remember you can always ‘unpublish’ an assignment if you don’t want the student to view it anymore.
2. Quick class select. Users can now select classes from a drop down in the class screen. This saves the very poor previous system of having to go back through your profile.
3. Comments and feedback will now autosave – so you don’t need to worry that you have forgotten to return a submission to the students! Combined with better session management this should prevent work being lost.
4. Cleaned up some of the UI in the grader making sure things are disabled and cleared when they should be.
5. Made sure that feedback is saved in the correct format and now displays exactly as it was written.
6. Users now prompted (both students and teachers) if they have work that has not been saved as an extra check to make sure they don’t lose any work. This may be the case when navigating away from or closing the page.
I think that’s it for today!
Thanks to John Kershaw for the emails highlighting some of these and other issues. Very much appreciated.
